A portrait session starts with the photos.
We choose a beautiful place around the Swiss Riviera, spend some relaxed time together, and create photographs that feel like you.
A Bespoke Adventure starts with the experience.
Maybe you want to take a mountain train somewhere ridiculous, hike to a quiet spot and pull out a picnic as the sun starts going down. Maybe you want to spend the afternoon exploring, stop for fondue along the way and see where the light takes us. Or maybe you’re thinking bigger — hiking boots, a mountain hut, sunset, sunrise and two days to let the story unfold.
That’s what we build first. I help shape the location, timing and flow around what you actually want to experience — and then I come along to document the story while you live it.
There will still be beautiful portraits.
But there will also be the walking, laughing, eating, weather, windswept hair, tired legs and all the little in-between moments you couldn’t plan if you tried.
Because the experience isn’t happening for the photographs.
The photographs are there because the experience happened.

We build in space for that too.

A little note about those starting prices
These starting prices apply to Bespoke Adventures within my core region around the Swiss Riviera and selected areas of the surrounding Alps.
Dreaming of somewhere farther into Switzerland? I take on selected adventures throughout the country too. Because locations such as Zermatt or the Jungfrau Region require considerably more travel and time, your experience will be quoted according to the location, access and logistics involved.
Any itinerary-specific expenses such as accommodation, mountain huts, specialist transport or unusual transfers are quoted separately where needed.

My Bespoke Adventures are primarily created around the Swiss Riviera and the surrounding Alps, where lakes, vineyards and mountains give us a ridiculous amount to work with.
Think sunset above Lake Léman, scenic mountain trains near Montreux, alpine landscapes around Les Diablerets, the mountains of Fribourg and Valais, or somewhere quieter that you probably wouldn’t have found from scrolling through the same ten places on Instagram.

02 — WE SHAPE IT TOGETHER
Once you’re booked, I’ll help turn those ideas into an experience that actually works.
We’ll figure out the location, timing, route, activities and logistics — while keeping an eye on light, weather, mountain transport and all the practical stuff behind the scenes.
03 — GO LIVE THE DAMN THING
This is the easy part.
Walk. Explore. Eat. Swim. Hike. Laugh. Stop because the view is ridiculous.
I’ll gently guide you when it helps, but otherwise I’m there to document the portraits, the big moments and all the wonderfully unplanned stuff in between.
04 — KEEP THE STORY
Within 48 hours, you’ll get your first photographs while the holy crap, that was amazing feeling is still fresh.
Your full edited gallery follows afterward — so years from now, you don’t just remember where you went.
You remember what it felt like to be there.
These experiences are intentionally limited
Not to feel exclusive for the sake of it —
but because every Bespoke Adventure requires real planning, scouting, flexibility, and care.

Heeeey, I’m Maaike
Half Swiss, half Dutch, happiest somewhere outside and very easily distracted by ridiculous mountain light.
I’ve had a camera in my hands for 20+ years and spent 15 years professionally planning experiences and events — which turns out to be a pretty useful combination when your photoshoot involves gondolas, hiking trails, weather forecasts and figuring out where we’re going to eat. 😂
I’m based near Montreux, with Lake Léman and the surrounding Alps basically in my backyard, and I genuinely love sharing this part of Switzerland with people who want to experience it rather than simply tick off the famous viewpoints.
On the day, I’ll guide when you need me, give you space when you don’t, carry snacks, keep an eye on the plan… and probably get far too excited when the light does something ridiculous.
You don’t need to perform for my camera.
Come experience something worth remembering. I’ll take care of telling the story.

Nope. Adventure does not automatically mean hiking.
Your experience could involve a scenic mountain train, a gondola, an easy walk, a picnic above Lake Léman, fondue somewhere with a ridiculous view… or yes, hiking boots and a proper trail if that’s your thing.
The whole point of Bespoke is that we build it around you.
Not even slightly.
You’re not going to spend hours performing for my camera. Most of the time, you’ll be doing something together and I’ll document what naturally unfolds.
When we create portraits, I’ll give you gentle direction so you never have to wonder what the heck to do with your hands. 😉
Welcome to the mountains, where the forecast occasionally enjoys keeping us humble. 😂
I’ll keep an eye on conditions leading up to your experience and adapt the plan when needed. Depending on what we’re doing, that might mean adjusting the timing, changing the route or pulling out Plan B.
And unless conditions are unsafe, a little wind, cloud or rain doesn’t automatically mean the adventure is off.
I primarily create Bespoke Adventures around the Swiss Riviera and surrounding Alps, including parts of Vaud, Fribourg and Valais.
I also take on selected experiences farther into Switzerland. Because longer travel, access and logistics vary considerably, those adventures are quoted individually.
Travel within my core service region is included in your starting price.
Any additional costs specific to your experience — such as mountain transport, accommodation, mountain huts or unusual transfers — will be discussed during planning and quoted separately where needed.
No surprise “oh, by the way…” invoices over here.
Bespoke Adventures include the full edited story rather than a fixed number of photographs.
The final number naturally depends on the length and flow of your experience, but you won’t be asked to choose your favourites from a tiny selection afterward.
The earlier, the better — especially if your experience involves mountain accommodation, specific transport or a particular date.
That said, if your trip to Switzerland is coming up sooner, reach out anyway. If I have the availability and we can create something properly without rushing the planning, I’m always happy to see what’s possible.
